DG060902 - East Lancs Diesel Gala

The September East Lancs gala was the first I was able to attend there for a while, and it didn't disappoint, even if the weather did its best to dampen everyone's spirits. The home fleet of 24054, 31435, D7076, 40135, 40145, D832, 45135, 47402, 47575 and the "Thumper" was bolstered by guest loco's 26024, 55022 and 56003 which had all remained on the line since the Summer gala.

Highlights for me were 40135 steam heating me until I had dried out, 47402 "Gateshead" being driven in the correct way, and 26024 - a thrashy little McBeast of a machine. :o)
